PHOENIX, AZ — Phoenix police are searching for a suspect who shot and killed a man in West Phoenix Monday night.
Officers were called to the scene at a parking lot near 27th Avenue and Indian School Road around 9:15 p.m.
Police say officers found the victim, Keith Zerbell Johnson, in extremely critical condition. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
The suspect who fled the scene on foot is described as a black man between 20 and 25 years old, and about 5 feet, 11 inches tall. He was wearing a dark shirt at the time of the shooting.
It is unclear at this time what led to the shooting.
