The Phoenix Police Department says 34-year-old Trista Jaquez was killed after a man drove a truck through a red light near 28th Drive and Cactus Road Saturday and struck her vehicle.

That driver, 26-year-old Randall Nelson, was booked into jail on charges of neglect, homicide, endangerment and aggravated assault. Nelson also admitted to drinking before the crash, according to court records.

Nelson's vehicle hit the victim's vehicle, causing them to then hit a semi-truck in the intersection.

One other woman involved in the crash remains in serious condition.
