PHOENIX — A homicide investigation is underway in a west Phoenix neighborhood.
Officials at the scene near 67th Avenue and Camelback Road confirmed the investigation to ABC15 crews early Thursday morning.
Multiple suspects reportedly made entry into a home and shots were fired during the incident, police say.
A man, later identified as 30-year-old Luis G. Esquivel Macias, was found dead inside the home where his wife and two kids were also inside, but uninjured.
Police did not say whether it was a home invasion, targeted attack or give any other circumstances behind the shooting.
Police say multiple suspects are believed to have been involved, but have not been identified at this time.
Detectives are working to determine what led to the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
