Police have arrested a man and a woman after they were found passed out in a vehicle with two young children.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, 24-year-old Scott Marley, along with another woman, were spotted passed out inside a vehicle near 43rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
Apparently, people approached their vehicle but the couple left.
Moments later, police spotted their vehicle near 35th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
Marley was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.
The woman with Marley is the children's mother, police said; she was showing signs of being impaired by drugs and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The children, age 1 and 5, were taken from their care and were placed with the Arizona Department of Child Safety.
