PHOENIX — Phoenix police are conducting a homicide investigation after a man was shot and killed in west Phoenix.
Officials say the shooting occurred at around 6:47 p.m. near 43rd Avenue and Camelback Road.

When officers arrived on the scene, they located an adult male who has been shot.
He was then transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased, officers say.
Initial information indicates that the shooting occurred after an altercation between several people known to each other.
Police say this is an ongoing investigation and is in the early stages.
