The Phoenix Police Department says a man was shot in a road rage incident Thursday evening.
The shooting happened near Interstate 10 westbound and 35th Avenue around 7:15 p.m.
Officials say the 31-year-old male was shot in the upper body by another driver after an altercation on the highway.
The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to be OK.
Two other people who were also in the victim's car were not injured, a Department of Public Safety spokesperson said.
The suspect has not been located, according to police. Authorities believe the pair is strangers.
The alleged shooter is believed to be driving a gray Chevy Trailblazer. He is described as being African American and bald, but no additional description was released.
