A man is displaced after an overnight fire destroyed his mobile home in the West Valley.

The mobile home fire happened around midnight on Thursday in the area of 51st Avenue and Buckeye Road in West Phoenix.

A passerby is said to have called 9-1-1 to report a working mobile home fire. When Phoenix Fire arrived, the homeowner was attempting to put out the fire with a garden hose. The resident was treated for a minor burn injury to his hand.

Firefighters were able to gain control of the fire.

The fire is under investigation but is thought to have started on the exterior around the structure and spread to the home.

There were older vehicles and a boat on the property which were said to have not been damaged by the fire.

There were no other injuries reported.
