PHOENIX — Two people have been taken to the hospital after a crash Sunday afternoon.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, a woman was driving the wrong way on a road near Metrocenter Mall when she crashed with another vehicle. That woman, who firefighters said was 25 years old, suffered a leg injury. A woman and man in the other vehicle were hospitalized for precautionary reasons.
Contrary to what firefighters first said, police updated later Sunday that there were no ejections as a result of the crash.
A police spokesman said the 25-year-old is under investigation for possible impairment in the crash.
No further information was immediately available.
