Authorities are looking for a man recorded on surveillance video stealing a handgun from a man while he waited in line at a fast food restaurant.

Phoenix police say a man, believed to be between 18 and 25 years old, walked into the McDonald's near Central and Southern avenues around 3:45 p.m. on April 7.

Investigators say surveillance footage shows him reach into the back pocket of a man ordering at the counter and remove a pistol. The suspect then ran out of the store.

The victim chased the suspect to get his gun back, when police said the victim had his own gun pointed at him.

The suspect is described as a black man, roughly 6' to 6'2" tall and 160 pounds.

Anyone with information about the suspect's identity or location is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
