Police are searching for a man who allegedly grabbed a teenage girl inappropriately at a south Phoenix resort last month.
On Sunday, May 20, authorities were called to Arizona Grand Resort and Spa near Interstate 10 and Baseline Road after a man approached a 13-year-old girl and grabbed her buttocks, police said.
The Caucasian man was seen wearing glasses, a maroon T-shirt and dark-colored cargo shorts.
Police said they released the man following the latest incident to investigate further, but now are looking to arrest him.
The Arizona Grand Resort and Spa management issued the following statement:
On May 20, 2018, the Arizona Grand security team was made aware of the individual, who was neither a guest nor an employee of the resort. Our security team immediately reviewed video surveillance and notified the Phoenix Police Department who responded to investigate. Approximately one week later, one of our security officers recognized the individual again on our property. The individual was detained and the police responded to continue their investigation. As always, Arizona Grand Resort & Spa takes the security of its guests and employees very seriously and we continue work closely with the Phoenix Police Department to ensure our property remains safe and secure for all visitors.
Anyone with information about the suspect's whereabouts is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. A $1,000 reward is being offered.
