Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a car and died in south Phoenix.
Authorities were called to the area of 7th Street and Jones Avenue after an unidentified man was hit by a car while attempting to cross 7th Street.
According to officials, the man died at the scene. The driver is cooperating with the investigation.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area of 7th Street due to road closures in both directions between Broadway Road and Elwood Street. Check here for the latest traffic conditions.
