Police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash in south Phoenix.
Police received reports around 1 a.m. Thursday regarding a deadly crash in the area of 19th Avenue and Broadway Road.
According to a police spokesperson, authorities initially received calls about a body in the road.
It's believed the 59-year-old victim was attempting to cross the street mid-block when he was struck by a vehicle, officials said. He died at the scene.
Due to evidence found at the scene, investigators believe a silver car was involved in the wreck.
Anyone with information regarding the crash is urged to call Phoenix Police or Silent Witness.
