PHOENIX — Phoenix police say a man crashed his vehicle into a building and had injuries not related to the crash.
On Sunday morning the Phoenix Fire Department was called to a crash near 7th Avenue and Baseline Road. When they arrived they found a single vehicle crashed into a vacant building.
When they evaluated the driver they noticed he had wounds that are not believed to be associated with the crash.
Police at the scene told an ABC15 photojournalist that the man had “old gunshot wounds.”
He was taken to a hospital for treatment. His current condition is unknown.
In a press release, Phoenix police say the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed when he crashed into the building. They said it’s too early to say how he received his injuries and the crash does not appear to be a result of a shooting.
The investigation remains ongoing.
