A man in his late 40s is dead following a two-vehicle collision in Phoenix Monday morning.
The incident happened around 9 a.m. near 27th Avenue and Buckeye Road.
Phoenix police say the man drove left of center and collided with another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. The man was taken to the hospital where he passed away from his injuries.
The other driver involved in the crash only sustained minor injuries.
Police say Buckeye Road is closed between 27th and 29th avenues as officers investigate the collision.
Impairment is suspected.
