Police say a 31-year-old woman died after being hit by a car in north Phoenix on Tuesday night.
Police say the woman was crossing the street mid-block in the area of Tatum Boulevard and Bell Road when she was hit.
She was taken to the hospital in critical condition but police say she later died.
The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Police do not believe speed or impairment were factors in the crash.
The woman has not been identified by police.
