A Phoenix pool was forced to shut down during what would normally be a busy summer weekend after vandals threw paint in the water.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officer were called out to the David C. Uribe Pool , located near 38th Avenue and Cactus Road, on Saturday.

Officers say between Thursday from 5 p.m. to Saturday at 10 a.m., someone or a group of people poured white paint into the adult and baby pools at the complex.

The pool was shut down in order to drain and clean the area; it will be refilled.

Police have no suspect(s) description at the time; anyone with details about the vandalism are encouraged to contact the Phoenix Police Department.
