Police are releasing the name of a man who was found dead in the truck of a burning car.

On March 30, police responded to the area of Cave Creek Road and Union Hills Drive around 3:30 a.m. after receiving reports about a person making threats with a gun. The person who called 911 also gave police a description of the vehicle that the suspect was last seen in.

Shortly after receiving the reports, police spotted a similar vehicle at a service station near Cave Creek and Beardsley roads. After following the suspicious car a short distance, police attempted a traffic stop, police said.

The car sped off before turning onto Grovers Avenue. Police later discovered the vehicle had pulled off the roadway and was fully engulfed in flames, a police spokesperson said.

According to officials, once the fire was put out 40-year-old Dustin Jones' body was found in the trunk.

Police are searching for two suspects in connection to the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
