PHOENIX — Police say a man is in custody after his ex-girlfriend and another man were found dead at a north Phoenix home Monday morning.

Officers were called to an apartment complex near Cave Creek and Beardsley roads around 7 a.m.

Police learned a man, identified as 27-year-old Steven Love-Mason, showed up at 28-year-old Trystan Benallie's home, with whom he was previously in a relationship.

Love-Mason reportedly asked a neighbor to knock on the door and when it opened, he forced his way into the home.

He then shot at Benallie and another man, identified as 23-year-old Martin Louis, who were both later pronounced dead, police say.

Love-Mason then fled the area and was later located by police in Tempe.

He was taken into custody without incident.
