Phoenix police: Woman hit, killed by blue-colored car that left scene

Police are looking for a vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash in north Phoenix on Sunday. 

According to Phoenix police officials, witnesses saw a westbound car hit a woman crossing the street around 4:45 p.m. in the area of 25th Street and Greenway Road. 

The victim, identified as a 40-year-old Rachel Nicholson, was pronounced dead at the hospital. 

The vehicle in question is described as a blue or turquoise Toyota sedan. It is believed to be a Camry or Corolla, possibly model year 2005 or newer. 

Police are asking anyone with information to call them or to contact Silent Witness or 480-WITNESS. Anyone with information could receive a reward of up to $1,000.
