A man is dead after allegedly being shot by his father during an argument in north Phoenix Saturday afternoon
Police were called to a home in the area of 40th Street and Thunderbird Road around 3 p.m. after receiving reports of the shooting.
The suspect alleges that his son attempted to attack him with a knife before the shooting occurred, officials said.
According to a Phoenix Police spokesperson, victim was initially taken to the hospital in critical condition but hours later he was pronounced dead.
Neither of their names have been released and an investigation is ongoing.
