A teenager is hospitalized after being pulled from a pool in north Phoenix.

The Phoenix Fire Department received calls around 7 p.m. Thursday after the 13-year-old girl was found in an above-ground pool by her family.

Her family told fire officials that it’s believed she was in the water for five minutes before she was found.

When firefighters arrived on the scene she did not have a pulse and CRP was performed, officials said. After nearly 40 minutes of CPR, the girl regained a pulse and is now hospitalized at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Her current condition is unknown.

No word as to why she was in the water but an investigation is ongoing.
