PHOENIX — Vehicle burglars in Phoenix reportedly shot a man in the leg while he was trying to stop them.
A shooting was called out in the area of 19th Avenue and Beardsley Road before 5 a.m. Wednesday.
Police at the scene told ABC15 that a man heard something outside and discovered burglars were trying to get into his vehicle. He then went after the burglars, an altercation occurred, and the man was shot in the leg.
The homeowner called 911 and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Officers at the scene say the three suspects were taken into custody about a block away.
No further information has been released.
