PHOENIX — A man is dead after a stabbing in north Phoenix on Thursday afternoon.
Phoenix police say they were called to the area of 19th and Northern avenues around 4:45 p.m. in response to a call of a "man bleeding."
Investigators learned that two men were in an altercation and both received puncture wounds. One of the men, only identified as a 30-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
It's not believed that anyone else was involved, but police are still working to determine what led to the incident.
