Motorcyclist dead after north Phoenix crash

PHOENIX - A motorcyclist is dead after a crash in north Phoenix Thursday evening.

Authorities were called to the area of 35th Avenue and Union Hills Drive after a car and motorcycle were involved in an accident.

According to a Phoenix fire spokesperson, a woman and man were taken to the hospital. The woman was transported in extremely critical condition and the man was in critical, but stable condition.

Authorities confirmed that at least one person has died, but did not say if it was the man or woman.

Both the man and woman were on the same motorcycle at the time of the crash, officials said. The driver of the car did not suffer any injuries.

A “hard closure” was in place for several hours while Phoenix police investigated the incident.
