Officials say a man found dead on a Phoenix mountain Wednesday appears to have committed suicide.
Phoenix Fire Capt. Rob McDade said the victim, who lived in the neighborhood, appeared to have fallen on the Lookout Mountain trail and fell an unknown distance shortly after 3 p.m.
Phoenix police on Friday identified the man as 73-year-old Charles Stewart.
According to McDade, fire crews found Stewart's body after a caller said they witnessed him fall. Stewart was alone when he fell.
