PHOENIX — Phoenix fire officials are battling a brush fire near Cave Creek Road and Sonoran Desert Drive.
Crews from Phoenix and Scottsdale Fire Departments have been battling the blaze since Saturday afternoon with multiple units.
As of Sunday morning, it increased to 27 acres and was at 50% containment.
Firefighters say winds played a factor in the spread of the fire but they have since died down.
