PHOENIX — A wrong-way driver was taken into custody overnight along Loop 101 in the north Valley.
Arizona Department of Public Safety says they received reports of a westbound vehicle traveling slowly in the eastbound HOV lane near Scottsdale Road.
Troopers made contact with the driver along the Tatum Boulevard off-ramp.
The driver, who has not yet been identified, was taken into custody and is suspected of being impaired.
No collisions or injuries during the incident were reported.
