PHOENIX — Authorities are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed on Interstate 17 Monday night.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the pedestrian was walking in the northbound lanes of I-17 at Jomax and was struck by a vehicle.
DPS troopers say they have all lanes restricted with the exception of the HOV lane.
This is an active investigation, according to DPS.
Authorities are working to determine why the pedestrian was in the roadway. The age and sex of the victim are not available at this time.
