PHOENIX — At least one person has sustained serious injuries after a multi-vehicle crash near Loop 101 and Tatum Boulevard.
DPS troopers say at around 8:20 p.m. they received reports of a collision on westbound Loop 101.
One driver sustained serious injuries in the collision and was transported to a hospital for evaluation.
Officials say one driver is in custody, and impairment is currently being investigated as a possible cause.
Another collision occurred at around 9:50 p.m. involving four vehicles just east of the collision.
The cause of this collision is currently under investigation.

Loop 101 westbound is now closed at 56th Street due to a secondary crash.
All traffic is exiting at 56th Street.
Expect delays and seek an alternate route.
