Officials are investigating after a man was killed when his vehicle flipped off Interstate 17 Thursday evening in north Phoenix.
A Department of Public Safety spokesman said responding crews attempted to extricate the man, believed to be in his 60s, from the car after it rolled over onto a frontage road near Union Hills Drive.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash slowed traffic in the area for several hours. ADOT said all lanes reopened around 10:30 p.m.
