Service restored after car crash knocked out power to more than 1k customers in North Phoenix

Officials are working to restore power back to more than 1,000 APS customers after a collision interrupted service. 

According to officials, over 4,000 customers were without power after a car crashed into a switching cabinet on 16th Street and Deer Valley Road. 

As of 5 p.m., a little over 1,000 customers in the area were still feeling the impact. Service was restored to all but about a dozen customers by 7:04 p.m., according to the utility's website.
