PHOENIX — Phoenix police are investigating a shooting that left a 15-year-old girl dead overnight.
The shooting happened around 11 p.m. Sunday at a home near 7th Avenue and Broadway Road.
Officers say Daniella Espinosa, was taken to a hospital where she died from her injuries. A second victim was also taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Multiple people were reportedly home at the time of the shooting but provided only limited information to officers.
A teenage boy is in custody and faces second-degree murder, aggravated assault, and weapon charges. According to police, the alleged suspect was seen "manipulating the firearm."
The investigation is ongoing.
