PHOENIX — Video shows a downtown Phoenix graffiti suspect being caught by an Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper early Tuesday morning.
The suspect was seen spray-painting the wall in the I-10 westbound tunnel before 5 a.m.
Video from an Arizona Department of Transportation camera shows the man taking his time with different colors of canned paint before he grabs his backpack and tries to run.
A DPS trooper is then seen running after the suspect onto the nearby off-ramp before he's taken down a short distance away. Eventually, other troopers run to the scene as the suspect is being taken into custody.
DPS says the trooper used a Taser on the suspect. No major injuries were reported.
No further information is known about the incident, but the off-ramp was blocked for a short time.
The suspect has been identified as Samuel Joseph Holguin.
