PD: Man injured in Phoenix home invasion

One man is recovering after police say he was pistol-whipped by robbers.

Phoenix police tell ABC15, multiple suspects broke into a home near State Route 51 and Thunderbird Road early Thursday morning.

They pistol-whipped the man who lives in the home and stole personal items. Police say the suspects took phones, keys and wallets and then took off in a vehicle.

The victim's name has not been released but police say he was checked by medics and may need stitches. He was not taken to the hospital.

Police say the suspects may be acquaintances of family members.

Phoenix police are actively looking for the three men. No suspect or vehicle descriptions have been released.
