Authorities have released the name of a man who was fatally shot outside a Phoenix motel last week.
Phoenix police say they are still searching for a suspect in the drive-by shooting of 25-year-old Fernando Chavez.
They say the shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. Friday at the Knights Inn near Black Canyon Highway and Sweetwater Avenue.
Police say Chavez was found in the motel's parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds.
Firefighters transported Chavez to a hospital in critical condition and he was later pronounced dead.
Police said Monday that there's no suspect information yet and a motive for the shooting remains unclear.
