Police are asking for the public's help in connection to a deadly shooting in Phoenix earlier this week.

On Sunday afternoon, police received a call about a shooting near 16th Street and Thomas Road.

When officers arrived, they found 37-year-old Salvador Amador suffering a gunshot wound. He was transported to a trauma facility in critical condition, but later died as a result of his injuries.

During the investigation, detectives identified the alleged shooters as Anthony Jacques, 26, and Anthony Fimbres, 28, a police spokesperson said.

After the shooting, the suspects fled the area in a truck and police have been working to locate them.

It's believed that the victim was shot after the group got into an altercation, officials said. The three men reportedly knew each other before the incident occurred.

Wtinesses told police that seven people were seen fighting prior to the shooting, and a neighbor told ABC15 that she heard the group arguing before the 10 gunshots.

Anyone with information about the suspects' whereabouts or the shooting is urged to call the Phoenix Police Department or Silent Witness.
