Police say they are investigating a couple of armed robberies in Phoenix.

On Tuesday evening, police were called to a convenience store near 44th and Washington streets.

According to a police spokeswoman, a suspect entered the business and robbed a customer who was standing in line to pay. The person also allegedly demanded money from an employee before leaving the store.

Shortly after, officers responded to reports of a second armed robbery near 47th and Van Buren streets.

The suspects went into the business and demanded employees to open the register, police said. The suspects took an unknown amount of money from both locations.

After officers spoke to victims of both incidents, officers were able to locate the suspects and take them into custody, officials said.

The suspects' names have not been released.
