Over 44 million people flew in and out of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in 2015, breaking a record set in 2007.
According to numbers released Monday, Sky Harbor saw a 4.5-percent increase in total passengers in 2015 compared to the year before.
That increase in passengers broke a record set in 2007 where 42.2 million passengers flew in and out.
Sky Harbor also set a single-day passenger record in 2015 on Feb. 2, the day after Super Bowl XLIX.
In March, more than 4.2 million passengers came through, making it the busiest month in the airport's history.
