Police have custody of a suspect who reportedly stole a vehicle and then ditched it in a Phoenix neighborhood early Wednesday morning.
Officers reportedly chased the suspect in the stolen vehicle into the area of 41st Avenue and McDowell Road until the suspect took off running.
According to information near the scene, at least two homes were evacuated while police conducted a search for the suspect. The man was reportedly been seen on top of roofs in the area, but was taken into custody after negotiations by police and SWAT teams after 5 a.m.
