Two vehicles that may have been racing crashed in central Phoenix, and one of the drivers left the scene.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were called out to Central Avenue and Watkins Road after reports of a collision.
Witnesses told police two vehicles were racing on Central Avenue when one of the vehicles struck a tree. Two people who were inside the vehicle were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The second vehicle did stay at the scene, but officers said the driver of the car that struck the tree left the scene.
Police are still investigating the crash.
