Authorities say a teen was taken to the hospital after being shot in the leg Tuesday afternoon.
Police responded to a home near 7th Avenue and Hatcher Road around 3 p.m. for a report of a shooting.
A Phoenix Fire Department spokeswoman said a 15-year-old boy was shot in the thigh. He was taken to the hospital in serious, but stable, condition, authorities said.
Police said the shooting did not happen where the victim was found, but did not elaborate further. No gun was recovered at the scene.
Police said no suspect information was immediately available and the investigation was ongoing.
