Phoenix police have arrested a man who allegedly stabbed his wife during a domestic situation Saturday.
Police say 59-year-old Pedro Gonzalez stabbed the woman at an apartment complex near 15th Street and McDowell Road and left the scene before police arrived.
Officers found Gonzalez at a nearby apartment where he was taken into custody.
Phoenix fire crews treated multiple stab wounds before the victim was transported to the hospital in critical, but stable condition.
Police have not released details on what led up to the attack.
