Authorities say inmates at a Phoenix jail had to be evacuated Friday after reports of a first-alarm fire.
Phoenix Fire Department officials were dispatched to the Lower Buckeye Jail near 35th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road around 6:30 p.m.
When crews arrived on scene, they discovered the source of the smoke was caused by a light's electrical circuit and there was no active fire.
There were no reported injuries.
