PHOENIX — Police are investigating after a person was shot in Phoenix Tuesday night.
Officers were called to the scene near 75th and Weldon avenues just before 9 p.m.
According to Phoenix police officials, two men were fighting in the area when a third man ran towards the pair and shot one of them.
The shooter reportedly fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.
The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, police say.
Cliff Castle Chopper video showed a Valley Metro bus with crime scene tape around it, but it's unclear how it's related at this point.
The victim is not being identified at this time.
