PHOENIX — Police are looking for a suspect who fled from police and then forced entry into a home in Phoenix, stealing a vehicle.
According to Phoenix police at the scene near 29th Avenue and Camelback Road, officers tried to stop a suspected stolen vehicle overnight. The driver took off and officials searched the area for the vehicle and driver.
Around the same time that the vehicle was found abandoned near 30th Avenue and Highland, police received a call from a woman who claimed a man entered her home and took off with the family's car.
She reportedly told police the suspect may have entered through a door that was open, and she spotted him inside the house while she was awake and getting ready for the day.
Police are currently looking for the stolen car and suspect.
