PHOENIX — An arrest has been made in connection to the killing of a 20-year-old Phoenix man.

Phoenix police announced Friday that detectives had enough evidence to arrest 26-year-old Brandon Fields.

On May 31, officers were called to an apartment complex near 43rd Avenue and Indian School Road for reports of a shooting.

When they arrived they found 20-year-old Victor Alvarez with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators learned that an argument occurred in the parking lot and shots were fired.

Police say two men fled the scene in vehicles. Officers later identified Fields as one suspect. Information on a second suspect hasn't been released.

Flowers is being charged with 2nd degree murder, aggravated assault and probation violation.
