The Phoenix Fire Department says a woman has been taken to the hospital after a fire at a duplex overnight.
The fire started at about 2:30 a.m. at the home near 21st Avenue and Camelback Road.
When fire crews arrived on scene there was an active fire on the first floor.
The woman was found as crews arrived and she was quickly taken to the hospital. A second patient was also located on scene but was not taken to the hospital.
Firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading to the second floor.
Fire fighters have not said how many people will be displaced from the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
