PHOENIX — Numerous vehicles were involved in a crash on a freeway transition ramp near downtown Phoenix early Friday morning.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say a car hit the concrete barrier wall on southbound SR-51 at the HOV flyover ramp to I-10.
The crash caused secondary collisions involving multiple other vehicles.
There were reports of other vehicles turning around and driving the wrong way to get back on the main line of the freeway, avoiding the collision, but DPS said troopers have not seen any drivers doing so since they arrived on scene.
