A police situation on an overpass forced the closure of Interstate 10 at 7th Street in Phoenix Friday night.

Police said the freeway was closed shortly before 7 p.m. Friday. The westbound lanes were reopened around 8:30 p.m. and the eastbound lanes reopened a few minutes later.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, troopers were assisting police with a man on the overpass.
