Man injured in collision has truck stolen from him

PHOENIX - Police are asking the public to help locate a stolen vehicle that belongs to a man who was struck by a car in a collision. 

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on September 9 around 6 a.m. a man was found in the area of 48th and Washington streets. 

Police say the man had been struck by a vehicle. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. 

The victim's truck had been stolen during the incident, and police are hoping to track down his car. 

It's described as a 2001 Dodge Ram, which is a 2500 diesel light gray truck. It has Arizona license plate "BFZ2164." 

Police encourage anyone with information regarding the collision or who may know where the truck is to contact them by calling Silent Witness at (480) WITNESS or contacting the Phoenix Police Department.
